Bio

natasha carrizosa

i wrote my first poem in the fifth grade. i remember running home with it in my hand. i couldn't wait to tell my momma. what she told me way back when/then, would plant a mighty seed in me. it has carried me to places all around the world. i have spoken/performed on stages that only existed in dreams. there is a forest of people that continually grow and inspire me. for all of these blessings, i am grateful. i am my mother's child. i am black and brown. i am poet and writer. i am a professional speaker. i am an advocate for the youth. i am a teacher. (some say, healer.) i am what i write and speak. the truth.
